As temperatures stayed high all weekend, Newton partied in the streets.

On Saturday, part of Union Street in Newton Centre was transformed into a vibrant, packed bazaar of sorts, for the city’s Spring Preview Farmers’ Market.

Newton Economic Development Director Lauren Berman and Deputy Director Cheryl Lappin organized the event as a way to give local businesses, which typically populate the city’s two farmers’ markets all summer, a chance to show their stuff in the heart of one of Newton’s most beloved economic engines, Piccadilly Square.

And on Sunday, Newton Highlands Village Day brought thousands of visitors to that village to enjoy live music, food, warm weather and community.

Check out these photos from those events.
