Joe Hunter

President

Joe Hunter is owner of Remember Productions, a Newton-based video production company. A Newton resident since 1995, he has worked as a National Public Radio reporter and freelance writer and served most recently as vice president of communication at Olin College. He is a board member of the Needham History Center & Museum and is a member and committee chair with the Charles River Chamber of Commerce.

A. Sherrod Blakely

A. Sherrod Blakely is the Boston Celtics Insider for NBC Sports Boston and winner of Boston.com’s A-List Celtics Reporter of the Year in 2011. Blakely previously covered the Detroit Pistons for the award-winning Mlive.com website, and earlier covered ACC football and basketball for the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer. He received his degree in newspaper journalism from Syracuse University, and lives in Newton.

Ed Dailey

Ed Dailey

Ed Dailey and family are longtime residents of Newton’s smallest village, T-Ville. Ed is a middle school teacher in Boston. He has alongstanding interest in affordable housing, having first served on the Planning Board under Ted Mann. He believes it is essential for our City to have an authoritative news source for an informed community. He is a dedicated gardener and racing sailor.

Isaac Fine

Isaac Fine is a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income division at Fidelity Investments. Before joining Fidelity in 2012, he was an attorney in the Public Finance department at Palmer & Dodge LLP (now Locke Lord LLP).  A lifelong resident of Newton, Isaac now lives here with his wife and three children.

Burton Glass

Burton Glass directs communications for Boston University’s College of Communication and BU’s Summer Journalism Academy. Previously, he was director for the nonprofit Center for Investigative Reporting in San Francisco where he executive produced documentaries for PBS Frontline. More recently he led the New England Center for Investigative Reporting, now part of GBH News. Burt and his family moved to Newtonville in 2011, and he formerly served on the board of Newton Girls Soccer. 

Kidwell

Rhanna Kidwell

Rhanna Kidwell moved to Newton in 1994 and she and her husband have raised their family here. Rhanna has been the co-president of the Mason-Rice PTO, the Newton PTO Council, and the Newton Schools Foundation, was a Girl Scout troop leader for eight years and has served on the boards of the West Suburban YMCA and the League of Women Voters of Newton. She served on Newton’s Charter Commission. Since 2008 she has been self-employed developing residential real estate in Newton.

Anne Larner

Anne Larner

Anne Larner, a Newton resident since 1973, is the former Executive Director of the MBTA Advisory Board. Retired from consulting in public and nonprofit finance, she remains civically active. Anne served 16 years on the Newton School Committee, eight as Chair. and has been appointed to numerous commissions and task forces over the last 40 years. While serving as president, Anne oversaw Historic Newton’s $6 million capital campaign in 2007-2012.

Alan Schlesinger

Alan Schlesinger

Alan Schlesinger is an attorney with the firm of Schlesinger and Buchbinder LLP in Newton Highlands. He has served as Chairman of 2Life Communities and on the boards of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, the Newton Schools Foundation and the Newton Little League, including 19 years as coach of the Newton Central Phillies. Alan is an adjunct faculty member at Brandeis University and a 70-year resident of Newton.

Howard Sholkin

Howard Sholkin has several decades of marketing communication and media experience. Sholkin formerly served as adjunct faculty at Boston University and Lasell University, teaching communication and media. His corporate communications experience included International Data Group, Digital Equipment Corporation, and a subsidiary of Bell Atlantic. Following graduation from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, Sholkin was a news producer at WCVB-TV, Boston. A lifelong Newton resident, he serves on the boards of Newton Community Pride, Boston Entrepreneurs Network (ENET), and Temple Shalom of Newton.
