Newton Open Studios filled the villages with art this weekend, showcasing more than 90 artists specializing in paint, sculpture, photography and more.
Open Studios was founded in 1985 by artist Renee Rubin in collaboration with Linda Plaut and Judy Anderson from the city’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The event connects residents and visitors with local artists and give artists a chance to sell their work.
The event, which is held in studios, shops and homes, has grown to include so many artists it now has a map to find them all.
Here are a few photos from the New Art Center on Sunday, where several artists filled two floors with their work.
