A person is dead after being struck by a train near the MBTA commuter rail stop in Auburndale late Tuesday morning, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
The accident caused extensive delays on the Framingham/Worcester rail line for several hours as police investigated the scene.
MBTA transit police referred all questions to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, which is investigating the accident.
The victim has not yet been identified.
