Newton Beacon Spring Giving Challenge — Make local news possible!

A group of generous local families have contributed $25,000 for a matching gift pool as a spring fundraising challenge for the Newton Beacon.

The Newton Beacon is a nonprofit newsroom powered by community support. Unlike traditional media, we don’t depend on subscriptions or advertising revenue. Instead, we rely on voluntary donations from readers like you to fund our vital local journalism — delivering independent, in-depth reporting that keeps Newton informed, engaged, and connected.

During this challenge, you can multiply your impact and help ensure that vital reporting continues in Newton. Here’s how the match works:

  • Double your impact: Every one-time gift will be doubled
  • All new recurring gifts will be matched for the entire year

Every gift moves us closer to meeting the full $25,000 match, and every dollar strengthens The Newton Beacon’s ability to provide the local news our community counts on.

We hope you’ll join the challenge today and make your gift go further.  Join the challenge today. Thank you for supporting nonprofit, independent journalism in Newton!
