A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 9 in Chestnut Hill Tuesday morning, in the area of 200 Boylston St. near The Shops and Wegman’s.

According to WCVB, a trooper witnessed the accident and stopped to try to help the victim, but the victim had suffered fatal injuries.

Several lanes on Route 9 were closed Tuesday morning while police investigated. No charges have been filed in connection with the accident.

The victim has not yet been identified.
