On the first day of the new year, Newton  got a new mayor, several new city councilors and lot of new faces on the School Committee.

Thursday’s inauguration ceremony marked a new chapter in Newton’s rich historyas the city both braces for what may come and embraces what makes it specialand people from various walks of life gathered inside City Hall to watch that new chapter begin.
