Dear Editor,

An important aspect of Ruthanne Fuller’s tenure as mayor that was not mentioned in your December 29 story, “Her Story: Fuller reflects on challenges, triumphs and legacy of historic political career,” was her frequent emails to the community telling what was going on in the city and providing clear explanations of the challenges the city faced.

Those emails were an important source of information and helped keep citizens connected to the city. I hope that Mayor Laredo will make an effort to connect with the city’s residents through similarly informative emails.
