As the air cools down to a bite and the spooky decorations start popping up in yards across the villages, Newton’s annual Halloween Window Painting is celebrating its 25-year anniversary.
On Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., scores of kids in grades 3 to 8 will be giving hundreds of business windows a monstrous makeover, with artwork celebrating the Halloween season and the city.
Halloween Window Painting is orchestrated by Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture.
Families interested in having their kids participate can register online at https://bit.ly/3NuWyLO. Window assignments will be announced this Saturday,
Side note: All sidewalk and brickwork areas around the kids will be covered in newspaper, and the windows are professionally washed for the businesses afterward. So don’t stress about mess!
