Seniors bring art to State House

More than 40 seniors from all of 2Life Communities’ campuses—including Golda Meir House in Newton—delivered over 60 handmade pieces of art to legislators and members of the Executive Office at the State House.

The art drop allowed seniors to harness their creativity and express to state policymakers what seniors want, need and aspire to do and be. Residents created individual art pieces using an acrylic painting technique called tree ring pour painting, chosen because tree rings represent history, strength and wisdom.

Newton Primary Care opening next week

Newton Primary Care is having a ribbon-cutting and open house on Tuesday, Dec. 2. City officials and other members of the community will be there to welcome the new business.

“It is an honor to receive the opportunity to serve this community and hopefully begin to fill the gap in access to primary care,” Practice Manager Maria Boccuzzi said. “We are fortunate to have many wonderful providers and look forward to serving Newton and its surrounding areas.”

Newton Primary Care is located at 29 Crafts St. and is affiliated with Revere Medical.
