Someone was arrested in Boston after allegedly stabbing another person in Newton Monday afternoon.
Police would not release much information but confirmed the stabbing took place at about 2 p.m. on Drumlin Road in Oak Hill after a traffic altercation.
“The stabbing was the result of a reported road rage,” Lt. Hagai Brandon said. “Newton Police patrol and detectives responded. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with non-life-threatening injuries to his abdomen.”
Police arrested Albeldy Pinales-Villar, the alleged suspect in the stabbing, at his home in Boston Monday evening.
Pinales-Villar appeared in Newton District Court on Tuesday charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to prosecutors, he drove his car into the victim’s car and blocked the victim in before getting out and stabbing him. Pinales-Villar’s attorney said there was no crash and his client was defending himself.
Pinales-Villar was held on $5,000 cash bail.
