PHOTOS: Halloween window decorating

This past weekend, Newton students put their art skills to work and decorated participating business windows around the city for Halloween.

Almost 200 merchants across Newton have Halloween window decorations. On Saturday, more than 400 youngsters painted the city in a program run by the Newton Cultural Development office. Since the late 1990s, Halloween Window Painting has been a fall ritual.

These artists painted in Auburndale and West Newton. You’ll also find decorated windows in Newton Center, Newtonville, Nonantum and Newton Highlands.
