Summer may be ending in a few weeks, but arts and culture in Newton are year-round.
And Newton Community Pride is accepting applications through Sept. 1 for its Fall 2024 Micro Grants program. There’s a total of $10,000 available, and applicants may request up to $1,500 (grants are typically between $300 and $1,100). And the project or event funded must be held between Nov. 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
Projects must align with Newton Community Pride’s mission to support arts, culture service and beautification in Newton.
Newton Community Pride has awarded more than $30,000 to artists and local organizations through its Micro Grants and “believes strongly in providing seed money to support local events and projects that enhance and build community,” executive director Blair Lesser Sullivan said. “A little bit of financial support goes a long way, and we look forward each cycle to investing in more Newton arts and culture programming, public art, service and beautification projects.”
