Wonder is coming to Upper Falls.

Wonder the restaurant company, that is. The business resembles that of a food hall that focuses on delivery, with several popular restaurants sharing kitchen space. Imagine a campus cafeteria with a corporate glow-up and a 35-minutes-or-less delivery promise.

And the company is about to open a new location in the old Vitamin Shoppe building at 170 Needham St. According to the company website, the new spot will open in March 2026.

Wonder bought GrubHub last year for $650 million, allowing it to harness GrubHub’s vast partnership network of more than 375,000 businesses nationwide.

The news of its new Newton location was first shared by Alison Haran on the Newton Real Estate Forum Facebook group and has spread through the grapevine with excitement and—pardon the pun—a sense of wonder.

Founded by former Walmart eCommerce CEO Marc Lore, Wonder has had quite a growth spurt recently, reporting a $7 billion valuation in May and unveiling a plan to go from 46 to more than 90 locations this year.

Newton is one of several MetroWest communities getting a Wonder in 2026. Others include Belmont, Framingham, Natick, Acton and Burlington.
