It’s going to be hot to start. Temperatures are expected to be above 90 degrees on Friday but cooler this weekend. Fortunately there’s a new splash pad in Upper Falls, a new Gaff Pool to swim in and a bunch of events to help you enjoy the last weekend of July.
Here are five things to do in Newton this weekend.
Friday, July 25
From 4 to 4:45 p.m., the Newton Free Library will host “Imagination Station, an open-ended art session for kids focused on different ways to create art. Registration is required.
From 6 to 9 p.m., Tango Mango will have Live Music with Armando.
From 6 to 10 p.m., you can listen to rock cover band The Ivory Rockers, and stick around for “Moana 2,” at the Hyde Bandstand, 90 Lincoln Street.
Saturday, July 26
From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., head over to Newton North High School for the Saturday Farmers Market.
Sunday, July 27
At 6 p.m., you can listen to women in world jazz music at the Newton Centre Bowl near Tyler Terrace.
