Join the Newton Food Pantry for its annual fundraiser, Newton’s Community Table, on Thursday evening, October 23, from 6-9 p.m. This year’s event will be held on the campus of Mt. Ida College in Newton. 100% of the proceeds will support the Newton Food Pantry’s vital hunger-relief services for residents in need.
Newton’s Community Table will feature great food and drinks, live music, raffles, a silent auction and an inspiring program. The City of Newton will receive the organization’s Community Partner award as thanks for hosting the Newton Food Pantry in City Hall the last 8 years. The Newton Food Pantry is building a brand-new standalone pantry on Rumford Avenue in Auburndale and the nonprofit will be moving there in late spring 2026. Newton resident Marilyn Crone, who leads the Newton Food Pantry’s wonderful Kids’ Bags program, will be honored with its Volunteer Award, and law firm Goulston & Storrs will receive the organization’s Corporate Partner Award.
