The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a charity that helps those in need in Newton is holding a clothing drive on Sunday, April 28, from 9am to noon and 4pm to 6pm. The truck will be located in the parking lot of Our Lady Help of Christians church (573 Washington Street, with the lot entrance along Adams Street). Accepted items include: clothing of all types and all seasons, coats and shoes, as well as other textile items, such as linens, towels and blankets. Do not bring non-textile items. Donations must be clean and in good condition. The drive gives everyone a chance to clean out their closets while providing for those in need – a win/win situation!
