Former Newton City Councilor Amy Sangiolo has won the election for the Middlesex 11th state representative seat.
She and a couple dozen of her supporters gathered at Bocca Bella Cafe in Auburndale Tuesday night to cap off a busy campaign season together while the election results trickled in.
State Rep. Kay Khan, the current seat holder who is retiring after this term, was there to wish her successor well.
