This spring, the Newton Theatre Company will honor the Goldstein family—the Newton family of four who died in New Hampshire over the holidays—with a Monologue Project celebrating their lives.
Matthew Goldstein, his wife Lyla and their two daughters, Valerie and Violet, were found dead in a house in Wakefield, N.H., on Dec. 25. Subsequent autopsies have revealed the cause of death to be carbon monoxide poisoning.
Matthew Goldstein was a founding member of NTC, and he and his daughter, Valerie, were actors with the local theatre group.
On May 31, at the Hyde Community Center Bandstand in Newton Highlands, NTC will pay tribute to the Goldsteins with a Monologue Project, with people who knew the Goldsteins sharing songs, stories and memories of them.
The event will start at 6 p.m. with a picnic on the lawn. The Monologue Project will start at 7 p.m.
Anyone who would like to participate in the Monologue Project honoring the Goldsteins should email Melissa Bernstein at melissa@newtontheatrecompany.com.
