Newton Community pride, a local nonprofit dedicated to showcasing Newton’s arts and culture, has announced the winners of its Spring 2024 Micro Grant program.
“We are again pleased to offer support to local arts and culture events and projects consistent
with our mission,” Blair Lesser Sullivan, executive director of Newton Community Pride, said.
“Providing seed money to these diverse groups is important to our community as it brings joy
and culturally uplifts us.”
The winners are:
- Andromeda Belly Dance’s Spring Hafla
- A Klezmer Dance Party at the Hyde Community Center Bandstand
- Newton Theater Company’s production of Kindertransport
- Suzuki School of Newton’s Community Day
- Music Mondays summer musical performances at the Scandinavian Center
- Indigenous Peoples Day at Albemarle Field
All events are free and open to the public.
