ABOUT THE FILMS
In 1978 Robb Moss filmed a group of friends, young river guides, on a 35-day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon, and he has kept filming them ever since.

THE SAME RIVER TWICE (2003, 78 min.) catches up with five of those friends, Barry, Cathy, Danny, Jeff and Jim, twenty years later. Two have served as mayors and one as a county commissioner, and all five are weighing the free lives they once led against the ones they have built. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

RIVERDOGS (1982, 32 min.) is Moss’s original record of that summer on the Colorado River, a lyrical and unselfconscious portrait of youth and the canyon. RIVERDOGS contains nudity.
