Resuming the 40-year-long US-China Exchange Program: The Newton – Beijing Jingshan School Exchange

During School Committee meeting on 5/20, we will play a documentary featuring the Jingshan Exchange program, which is the first secondary school exchange program between US and China. In April, Toby Romer, Henry Turner, Tamara Stras and Yixing (Star) Lew visited the Jingshan School in Beijing. After four years of hiatus, the program will resume in January of 2025. Six students from Newton North and Newton South will be selected to participate and study in the Jingshan School for four months.
