Music director Phil Sanborn leads BAY COLONY BRASS in our first concert of the 2026-2027 season as we present a collection of Symphonic Sketches on November 7 at 7:30pm at the Second Church in Newton, 60 Highland Street in West Newton.
The family-friendly concert features a wide range of symphonic music for brass including Eric Ewazen’s stunning “Symphony in Brass,” the spirited Scherzo movement from Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, and the Trauermarsch from Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local council supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the City of Newton.
Tickets are $20 at the door or in advance at www.baycolonybrass.org. Under 18 free.
Parking is available adjacent to the building at Second Church in Newton. Parking lots are accessible from either Highland Street or Chestnut Street.
Access for those with limited mobility is available immediately uphill from the sanctuary via the side driveway.
