Newton will have three elections in 2025, and the first will be a special election for the Ward 7 School Committee seat on March 18.

That seat was vacated this summer by Amy Davenport, who had to step down because she moved out of Newton.

The special election will have early voting dates, according to a memo the city clerk’s office sent to poll workers this week, on March 7 and 8 at City Hall.

Vote-by-mail ballots will be prepared in February.

The other two elections are the local primary election set for September and the general election in November.
