Senior Needs Assessment Survey – Seniors, Have Your Say

February 7 @ 8:00 am - February 16 @ 5:00 pm

As the Department of Senior Services plans for the construction of the Newton Center for Active Living (NewCAL) project at 345 Walnut Street in Newtonville, which will open in 2025, the City of Newton has partnered with the University of Massachusetts Boston to conduct a needs assessment of the experiences, interests, and long-term needs of Newton residents age 60+.

The UMass team is researching demographic information, facilitating focus groups, and will gather important information from a survey that was mailed on January 22 to a random sample of 5,000 Newton residents age 60+ and is also available online. The survey will help us plan for the future of programming and services offered at NewCAL and will inform City leaders about residents’ priorities on issues of livability.

Every resident age 60+ is encouraged to participate. The webpage www.newtonma/seniorsurvey includes information about the three ways to request a survey (including using the QR code above), if you did not receive one in the mail.

By completing the survey, you can have your voice heard about your experience of living in Newton. We want to hear from you!

The deadline is February 16.
