Liturgy of Solace and Strength

Loading Events

The Episcopal Parish of St. Paul joins with Grace Church and St. Mary’s for a Longest Night service. Also known as a Blue Christmas Liturgy, the Service of Solace and Strength usually occurs on or about December 21, the winter solstice and the day of the year in the Northern hemisphere with the least amount of sunlight. In the late 20th century, it began to become more common for congregations to offer worship opportunities during Advent to acknowledge and honor the difficulties of the Christmas season. All are welcome to join us!
