As winter weather continues, many people are looking forward to the arrival of spring. Haiku Newton invites you to put those thoughts on paper, in the form of Haiku poems, and submit them to our fourth annual contest.
Up to 24 poems will be selected and affixed to 18″ x 24″ customized high-end yard signs featuring spring-themed background images. The signs will be displayed in various high-visibility outdoor installations throughout Newton, beginning in April, National Poetry Month.
Haiku Newton is generously sponsored by Newton Community Pride. We are also pleased to be partnering with the Newton Free Library this year.
The themes for the 2025 contest are Regeneration, Renewal, and Revisioning. Hint: Include vivid imagery and a twist or turn in the third line.
