Beyond Bucha, a compelling new documentary exploring the courage and resilience of evangelical churches in wartime Ukraine, will premiere in the Boston area during a special screening weekend, June 7–8. The film focuses on Baptist, Pentecostal, and non-denominational pastors and congregations in cities including Bucha, Kyiv, and Kharkiv, offering an intimate look at the faith and endurance of Ukraine’s evangelical community under the shadow of war.
Directed by filmmaker Steve Richards, Beyond Bucha is his third documentary in a series filmed on the ground in Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion began in February 2022.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the director, who will introduce the film and host a Q&A session following each screening.
