“How to deal with exhaustion and burnout standing up to authoritarian government”. Everyone is invited to our free lunch at noon: 1326 Washington Street, West Newton. UU Rev. Jo Murphy will speak about her work as executive director of the UU Mass Action organization. She will discuss how working for justice under authoritarian rule can be profoundly taxing, leading to exhaustion. We all need ways to maintain our spirits and energy as we work to protect democracy. All of us who work on justice need tools to be effective and not lose hope. Taking
meaningful actions, maintaining strong social connections, and engaging in creative expression are just a few of the steps that can support us as we work together toward a positive goal. First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton (FUUSN) is a congregation with liberal and progressive theology. Founded in 1848, for 177 years, FUUSN has nurtured the spiritualities of its members and helped meet the needs of the Greater Newton community
