DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 11/3 @6pm at Tango Mango’s performance space at its new location on Langley St.\, local Singer-Singer-songwriter and author Ingrid Chiemi will be performing songs at a free concert from all 4 of her books of lyrics\,. Her 1st 3 books\, “Karma Bank to Following By Listening\,”\, “Odd Simple Beauty” & “World As Refuge”\, for which all the proceeds respectively benefit the Asian Community Development Corporation\, Asian Women For Health and the Coalition for Anti-Racism in Education\, will be available\, for sale\, as well as “Something In That Space\,” the most recent one\,\, which benefits the Korematsu Institute. A Hawaii native who now lives in MA\, Ingrid Chiemi may also play some Hawaiian selections and bring Hawaiian instruments\, which she has done at prior Poetry Parties at Newtonville Books in years past.
