DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a fun way to help our neighbors in need? The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is holding its annual “Friends of the Poor Walk” fundraiser on Sunday September 29 (registration at 12:30pm\, Walk at 1pm). The family-friendly event will feature a 1.5 mile walk around Crystal Lake\, beginning and ending at Sacred Heart Church (1321 Centre Street). All proceeds will go to helping our neighbors in Newton and the surrounding towns\, with food\, clothing and housing-related needs.
