Going around the circle\, everyone will have the chance to suggest a song—and usually to lead it. You can always pass\, of course\, and the organizers are here to help. \nPrinted songbooks with selected favorites will be provided for participants to use during the session\, or you can bring a tablet to reference an electronic version. Newton Folk Music also sometimes uses the book Rise Up Singing as a source\, especially for simple 3-chord tunes\, so bring that along if you have a copy. For less familiar or more complex songs not in our songbook\, the group likes to play from paper handouts. \nThis program is geared towards adults. If you have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the organizers at events@newtonfolk.org.
