Due to some dicey weather earlier this month, Upper Falls moved its Village Day to this Saturday. And Newtonville held its Village Day on Sunday, giving the city twice the fun with two block parties to ring in the fall.
Upper Falls had the nicer weather, by far. But the rain held off for most of Newtonville Village Day, and Newtonville had a special addition this year: a dedication ceremony for the newly renamed Setti D. Warren Plaza.
Upper Falls and Newtonville are two of several villages that host village days between late spring and early fall. Nonantum, Newton Highlands, Waban and Lower Falls have them as well.
