John-Chaimanis

Local elections give us a chance to think about what kind of community we want Newton to be. Voting isn’t just about policies or talking points—it’s about choosing people who care deeply about Newton and who show that care through their actions.

I’m voting for John Chaimanis because he will take the job seriously: he’ll prepare carefully, listen with genuine interest, and treat every resident with respect. The issues facing Newton—finances, infrastructure, schools, climate, housing, traffic—are complex. I want someone who takes the time to understand them, who seeks advice from experts and neighbors alike, and who’s not afraid to do the quiet, steady work that good governance requires. That is John Chaimanis.

Equally important, I value kindness and collaboration. Our best leaders build bridges rather than walls. They know progress depends on teamwork and lasting solutions come from listening, not shouting. In a world where public dialogue can get harsh, I admire candidates who, like John Chaimanis, stay calm, thoughtful, open-minded, analytic and fair.

I believe in transparency. Residents deserve to know how decisions are made and why. John Chaimanis will be an effective City Councilor who communicates openly, answers questions directly, and treats public service as a trust—not a platform for personal agendas or ambition.

When I cast my ballot, I’ll be voting for John Chaimanis because he reflects these values: someone who’s informed, compassionate, and dedicated to making Newton the best it can be. That’s the kind of leadership Newton truly needs.
