Whether the topic is school budgets\, village identity\, or parking policy\, our public discussions can sometimes become more combative than constructive. \nWe believe there’s a better way for us to work together. Please join us for a constructive dialogue with neighbors interested in exploring the following topic: \nPersonal and community investment in education \nThis dialogue brings together community members with different points of view on how Newton invests in the education of young people. The purpose is for folks to speak to be understood\, to listen to understand\, and to deepen curiosity about perspectives (of your own and others) — on a concrete issue that affects us all. \nWhat is Newton Conversations?\nWe are a group of Newton residents\, City staff\, and elected officials who came together around a shared vision: \nNewton Conversations envision a city where civil discourse thrives\, and diverse perspectives are respected with open minds and thoughtful engagement.
